THA President, Paul Jubb along with Steve Old and Stephen Long, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Skills Tasmania. Steve Old said, "This even further strengthens the work of THA and Government on training and workforce development policy and strategy. The Tasmanian Hospitality Association has welcomed Federal Budget measures to boost employment and reduce taxation for small businesses. In another nod to Tasmania’s growing reputation for hosting high quality business events, the state has been successful in winning the large international conference, 4th Symposium on the Ocean in a High CO² World, to take place in May 2016. The Tasmanian Hospitality Association has welcomed data contained within the Tasmanian Visitor Survey showing increased visitation and visitor spending last calendar year.
